About Us
Nikki Young
Director
My name is Nikki Young and I was the director and Pre-K teacher at RBCNS last year. I am originally from western PA, and have been in the area for 5 years with my husband Matt, and 2 boys, Gavin (10) and Tucker (6), who attend school in OJR. I went to school at Penn State and Texas Woman's University. I've worked in public schools as a substitute and teacher, private daycare and preschool settings, and have volunteered extensively with MOPS International and on my local PTO board. I have previously taught 3 and 4 year olds, fifth grade, and was a substitute for K-12. A little get to know me info; I like the color blue, TexMex food, a good southern sweet tea and all things Penn State. My favorite books are the Little Critter series, and I love to have dance parties with my boys to KidzBop. My favorite way to spend a day is exploring the outdoors. I can't wait to get to know the children better and to see them grow and learn throughout the year! I love working with children and enjoy camping, traveling, crafting, and home DIY projects.
Pre- K
Kristen Zavertnik
Hi RBCNS families! My name is Kristen Zavertnik (Mrs. Z) and this is my second year teaching the 2’s class and PreK. My youngest daughter attended PreK here and that is when I learned what a great school it is. I have a degree in Family and Child Sciences and Social Work from Florida State University. I’ve lived in several states: Massachusetts, Texas, Wisconsin, Florida and now Pennsylvania. I have worked in many different capacities with children over the years which include Social Work, Camp Counselor, Before and After Care, Pre School and as the Director of a local School-Age Childcare/Camp program. I have three children (1 boy age 14 and 2 girls ages 11 and 7). In my free time I enjoy traveling with my family, watching my kids participate in sports and spending time at local parks. I also enjoy planning parties and decorating for holidays. I grew up dancing (tap, jazz and ballet) and enjoy watching Broadway shows and anything theatrical with music and dance. My favorite color is navy blue and I love salads (I have a favorite salad at every restaurant I go to). I look forward to getting to know your child.
Brittany Cloutier
Hi! My name is Brittany Cloutier (Mrs. C) and I am new to RBCNS this year. I graduated from West Chester University where I played soccer all 4 years. I've been a youth coach for 8 years, volunteer at my kids' schools, and am an active volunteer in my church's community. I started volunteering as a coach and fell in love with working with kids! I enjoy watching kids grow and getting on their level to watch them learn something new. My husband and I love traveling, running, cheering for our 3 kids at their various sports (soccer, rugby, football, lacrosse, basketball, and swimming), and spending time outdoors. We've recently discovered a love for kayaking and paddleboarding! My favorite color is blue, I love cooking, but not baking, and cheer for all the Philly teams! I can't wait to meet and get to know your child this year!
3S Class
Jennifer Earley
Hello RBCNS families! I’m Jen Earley and this is my 3rd year teaching at RBCNS in both the 3s and Pre-K Enrichment classes. I love being with little ones and cannot wait to help them grow this year.
I graduated from West Chester University and have had the privilege of teaching and working with children for several years at many schools and organizations within our community. I am a mom to three AMAZING children. My daughter is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh and my two boys are in high school and middle school at Spring-Ford. We are a sports family! When I’m not at school you can usually find my husband and I on a field or court cheering our kids on! We also love our Philly sports teams no matter what the season or the record. I enjoy being outdoors and am most happy when spending time with family and friends. You can usually find me with a camera in-hand taking pictures of my kiddos and two sweet Labs, Dawkins and Nala. Looking forward to getting to know each of your children this school year. Thank you for sharing them with me!
Lauren Hoffman
Hi RBCNS! My name is Lauren Hoffman and after subbing many times during last school year- I am so excited to officially join the staff of this fabulous preschool. I graduated from West Chester University in 2008 with my degree in Early Childhood Education, but since then, I have had the opportunity to be primarily a stay-at-home mom. My husband Sean and I have four children, Adyson (14), Collin (13), Leah (10) and Cade (7). Collectively, my four children participate on 3 travel sports teams, 1 school team, and 4 club teams. Pretty much every night and weekend, year round, you can find me at the ice rink, alongside a wrestling mat or on a soccer field. When I'm not at preschool or cheering on my kid's, I work part time for a photography company helping newly married couples design their perfect wedding albums. Our family also offers in-home pet boarding for local families who go on vacation and need pet care services. We sure know how to keep a full, busy schedule at the Hoffman household- but most of the time, I love our wild, crazy, busy life! Over the last 4 years, I have also been a substitute for the OJR district and subbed at a local Christian school, working in classrooms from preschool through grade 12. Preschool has always been my preference- I adore the early childhood age and find their excitement for life, constant curiosity, and overall silliness to be such a fun addition to the classroom. We are going to have so much fun this year!
Lainie Watson
Hello! My name is Lainie Watson. This is my first year at RBCNS. I am so very excited to be working with children. I spent my career providing day services to the senior population, before becoming a stay at home mom. I have a son who is a junior at Penn State and a daughter who is a senior at Spring-Ford High School. I loved being their homeroom mom and was very involved in school. Over the years, most of my time was spent watching my kids play their various sports. Which I absolutely love! In my free time, I enjoy the beach, time with family and friends and looking for the best deals while shopping. I’ll never say no to milk chocolate!
Can’t wait for a great year at RBCNS!

I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. My name is Megan Dence (Mrs D) and this is my second year teaching at RBCNS. I received my undergrad degree in early childhood education from The University of Dayton and my Master’s Degree from Wilkes Barre in Early Childhood Literacy. I took eleven years off to raise our three children, Madison (11), Mackenzie (10) and Scotty (5). I love being back in the classroom. Prior to this I taught first grade and kindergarten. We moved from Denver, CO to PA a year ago to be near family. In addition to three children, we also have two dogs, Gracie and Winston. We are a sports loving family as our kids are involved in competitive cheer, football, baseball, basketball and softball. That’s where you will find me on the weekends, cheering on our children! I cannot wait to get to know each and everyone of you and your child. Excited for an amazing school year.
