Director

My name is Nikki Young and I was a Pre-K teacher at RBCNS last year.  For those of you I haven't met yet, I have lived in the area for 4 years and am originally from western PA. I am married to my husband Matt, and have 2 boys, Gavin (9) and Tucker (5), who attend school in OJR. I went to school at Penn State and Texas Woman's University. I've worked in public schools as a substitute and teacher, private daycare and preschool settings, and have volunteered extensively with MOPS International and on my local PTA board. I have previously taught 3 and 4 year olds, fifth grade, and was a substitute for K-12. A little get to know me info; I like the color blue, TexMex food, a good southern sweet tea and all things Penn State. My favorite books are the Little Critter series, and I love to have dance parties with my boys to KidzBop. My favorite way to spend a day is exploring the outdoors. I can't wait to get to know the children better and to see them grow and learn throughout the year! I love working with children and enjoy camping, traveling, crafting, and home DIY projects.

Mary Wood

Hello! My name is Mary Wood:
This will be my first year teaching at RBCNS. I had previously taught Pre. Kindergarten, Kindergarten Enrichment, and Science in Springfield twp. Montco. With a growing family I took a few years leave from teaching to help with my Grandchildren.
I am very excited to get back into the classroom come September.
A little bit more about me: I grew up in Chestnut Hill and Flourtown, PA. My husband and I owned and operated a Landscaping Company for 35 years. During running a business and managing our growing our family, I received my CDA and began teaching in 1998. After my husband's early retirement, we purchased land in Skippack, and built our forever home where I live with my husband and our 2yr.old Golden Retriever Luke. We have 3 adult children whom we are very proud of and 3 amazing grandchildren. I love all things beachy; especially sea turtles, I also enjoy crafting, good coffee, party planning, adoption searches and spending time with my grandchildren!

Kristen Zavertnik

Hi RBCNS families! My name is Kristen Zavertnik (Mrs. Z) and this is my first year teaching at this school. My youngest daughter attended Pre K here and that is where I learned what a great school it is. I have a degree in Family and Child Sciences and Social Work from Florida State University. I’ve lived in several states: Massachusetts, Texas, Wisconsin, Florida and now Pennsylvania. I have worked in many different capacities with children over the years which include Social Work, Camp Counselor, Before and After Care, Pre School and as the Director of a local School-Age Childcare/Camp program. Most recently, I have been a stay at home mom to my three children (1 boy age 13 and 2 girls ages 10 and 6). In my free time I enjoy traveling with my family, watching my kids participate in sports and spending time at local parks. I also enjoy planning parties and decorating for Holidays. I grew up dancing (tap, jazz and ballet) and enjoy watching broadway shows and anything theatrical with music and dance. My favorite color is navy blue and I love salads (I have a favorite salad at every restaurant I go to). I look forward to getting to know your child.

Lea Millhouse
Hi I’m Mrs. Millhouse. This is my 7th year at RBCNS, and I love working with young children. I’m very excited for a year of learning, laughter, and lots of fun. It’s going to be a fabulous time of growth and development for your little ones. I’ve been married to my husband Andrew for 17 years, and we have two wonderful children. I’m a proud mom to Abigale (15) who is in high school and Alex (11) who is in middle school. Also at home is our sweet loyal dog Oreo who is always by our side. When I’m not at school, I spend much of my free time throughout the year at sports for my daughter (softball and volleyball) and son (soccer, basketball, and tennis) depending on the season. I’m also involved in Home and School. I especially love going to the beach with my family to relax, take pictures of the sunrise and sunset, collect seashells, and enjoy family time. Some of my other favorite things are: color – purple, season – summer, drink – coffee, food-ice cream, books – Press Here and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and other hobbies – listening to music, baking, and crafting.

Megan Dence
Hello!  My name is Megan Dence and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. We just relocated here from Colorado at the end of June.  I am originally from Pittsburgh and my husband is from Ohio.  It feels good to be “home”.  My husband (Rob) and I just celebrated thirteen years of marriage.  We have three children, Madison (10), Mackenzie (8), and Scotty (4).  We have two dogs, a yellow lab (Gracie) and a toy fox terrier (Winston).   Our three children keep us super busy.  The girls are both in competitive cheerleading and Scotty is swim and t-ball.   Mackenzie is starting basketball soon!  We are a very busy sports loving family.  This is my first year back at teaching since becoming a stay-at-home mom ten years ago.  I love the classroom and am excited to get back.  I taught third grade, first grade, and kindergarten before Madison was born.  I have my undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and my master’s degree in literacy.  I love to travel, read, cook and run.
Looking forward to an amazing school year.
